EaP countries’ representatives meet in Brussels for the Workshop on Tools and applications for Broadband Mapping

    Eastern Partnership National Regulatory Authorities’ and relevant Ministries’ representatives met in Brussels from 31 May to 2 June 2022 in order to participate in the Workshop on Tools and applications for Broadband Mapping which was organized with the support of the European Commission Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) instrument.

    The aim of the Multi-Country Workshop was to share knowledge, experiences and solutions for building a broadband infrastructure and services map, by using open source software, spatial data and geographic information system (GIS).

    During the 3-day workshop, the Experts advised the participants from the Eastern Partnership countries on how to develop their own broadband servicemap, by using technical applications and data available in each of their countries. Furthermore the workshop will facilitate a better understanding of the relevance of the tool for the development of digital ecosystem (promotion of investments and innovation), and will present some useful information on how to create and/or maintain broadband mapping tool on their own.
