    Eastern Partnership and Euro-Mediterranean regulators meet

    Representatives of the Eastern Partnership Electronic Communications Regulators Network(EaPeReg) met with their counterparts from the European Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG) in the framework of the BEREC-EaPeReg-EMERG-Regulatel Summit in Dubrovnik on 29 September, at which the sides agreed on several issues of common interest.

    In particular, the first topic was the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between EaPeReg and EMERG. The MoU will optimise the efforts dedicated to the approximation of these areas to the European Regulatory framework.

    Additionally, the sides agreed on several points:

    • Organisation of workshops on topics of common interest.
    • Sharing of best practices and echange of experience on connectivity and 5G Regulations, promotion of NGA/VHCN roll-out, promotion of competition in markets and services as well as International Roaming & IMTR.
