The 17th IRB EWG meeting was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 8 and 9 October 2024.
The first day focused on presentations and discussions regarding deliverables drafted by the EU4Digital Facility’s technical assistance experts, based on data provided by the IRB EWG.
During the discussion, participants agreed that the following deliverables will be finalised by the EaPeReg Plenary meeting in Chisinau (28-29 November 2024):
- Regional report on broadband coverage in EaP (based on DESI indicators);
- Report on regulatory governance developments in light of the EECC.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to presentation of the work done under the the ‘EU4Digital: Investing in broadband connectivity’ programme, delivered by the representatives of WBG, and of the compendium with the best practices on broadband mapping developed under the trilateral partnership between EaPeReg, Emerg and ITU.
