The aim of the workshop was to present to the EaP telecom regulators and policy makers the European Commission’s proposal on the Critical Entities Resilience (CER) Directive and the Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2), as well as to have interactive discussions with the EU member states experts related to the implementation of the EU framework into national legislation.

Throughout the event, several mechanisms and solutions on how to better respond to attacks on critical infrastructure and incidents were presented, with an emphasis on the need to ensure a secure and sufficient infrastructure rollout. In addition, the implementation of the 5G toolbox and regulatory measures implemented by EU member states for the 5G Auction were comprehensively explained.   The participation of the EU institutions and organisations in the WS discussions (EC, BEREC and ENISA) helped the participants to understand the EU vision on the security of networks and services in the context of 5G technologies implementation
