Workshop on Practical Implementation of Infrastructure Sharing, took place in Lisbon, Portugal from 22 to 24 November 2021. It was organized under the EU4Digital program by Independence of Regulators and Broadband Expert Working group (IRB EWG), in cooperation with Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM) of Portugal.

The Workshop was dedicated to National Regulatory Authorities as well as relevant Ministries of Eastern Partnership countries.

The Workshop was meant to address the practical matters of implementation of Directive 2014/61/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council and ANACOM and Portuguese experience had been selected by experts of IRB EWG as best EU practices. Besides, representatives of ANACOM presented their experience on the coordination process of the EU Toolbox for Connectivity. Additionally, the mobile infrastructure sharing and ANACOM’s broadband mapping tool were presented.

During the Workshop presentations were made by the representatives of Portuguese electricity distributor, telecommunication companies (NOS, Vodafone), as well as the participants had a chance to visit the Municipality of Lisbon to get acquainted to their projects.
